Bali is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Restaurants, bars and tourist attractions are all designed aesthetically in order to attract travelers. The hot weather allows for great tasting fresh food and lush greenery to exist everywhere. Here are some of the most Instagramable places I visited while on my trip there this February.
The Bali Swing
Where all the magical swing pictures that are posted all over Instagram took place. This attraction is in Ubud and is one you don’t want to miss. They have multiple swings and seats set up along the edge of a cliff overlooking a jungle and river. The view is incredible, with endless trees to be seen. The Bali Swing has different types of set ups, all quite artistic, that makes your pictures appear as if they were taken in different locations. The workers will take your photos for you and are skilled at it. The swing experience itself is very fun, and they have three different heights. The Bali Swing has a restaurant on site that serves food and drinks, which could use some improvements. I also disagree with the expensive cost of entry of the site. However, we received a discount to go white water rafting afterwards, down the river we were overlooking.
Omnia
All the way in Uluwatu you will find the best-looking beach club in Bali. They did a great job of creating an ocean front, multi-level infinity swimming pool set up. They have multiple DJ booths and dining areas. Omnia hosts huge events but can also be relaxing and quiet. They have free entry on non-event days, great tasting food and drinks and comfy day beds. The colour scheme is blue and neutral. The infinity pool in front of the ocean is an amazing view at sunset. During the daytime you can get great pictures from the different levels of the building.
Penny Lane
A picturesque restaurant close to Canggu beach that gives a chic look. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner options and also have a coffees, cocktails, juices and smoothies. The place has neutral colours, with nature decor such as hanging plants, greens and grass along the pathways. There were high arched ceilings with windows that created beautiful lighting. There were many different seating arrangements, from large dining tables to corner couches. The food and drinks were presented well and tasted great. The overall aesthetics of this place was on point, from a unique fountain, to celebrity art hanging all over. The whole time my friends and I were eating, people all around the restaurant were taking pictures.
Cabina Bali
Located in between Canggu and Seminyak beach, this place is THE Instagram restaurant. They serve breakfast, brunch and dinner, with a floating brunch option. That’s right you can have a floating brunch experience in a pool without having to book a private luxury villa. Cabina has specialty cocktails, juices, smoothies and coffees. My friends and I booked the floating brunch option, of course. The food was spaced out beautifully on a floating tray. We all ordered different things, and the food looked as amazing as it tasted. For the presentation, the taste of the food and the experience, I would conclude that it was well worth the price. You can enjoy the pool for as long as you want, but there is also indoor seating as well. It was a paradise like experience, and the outdoor lighting made for great pictures. There were actually photographers at the restaurant while we were there taking photos. The pool is outside and surrounded by lounge chairs. The restaurant/bar area overlooks the pool with large windows.
